Dr. Curalli Running the NYC Marathon For Team CdLS!

Dominick Curalli Fund RaiserThere are so many things in life that we can invest our time and energy into. There is truly nothing that provides a better return on that investment than our families, or anything that brings us more joy than our children.

Dr. Dominick Curalli is no exception. His wife and sons are his greatest joy. When his youngest son Dane was born with health issues in December of 2012, it was a time to rise to the challenge and learn all they could to help him live a beautiful life.

Dane was diagnosed with a rare genetic syndrome called Cornelia De Lange Syndrome.

“The first few months were very stressful,” says Dr. Curalli. “There was a big learning curve and many decisions to make. One of the greatest resources to us during those first difficult days was the CdLS Foundation.”

Dr. Curalli is taking his love for running and using to raise funds and awareness for this foundation which has been such an amazing support for him and his family.

“The CdLS Foundation has been an incredible resource throughout the past 2 years.  We have been put in contact with other CdLS families.  Every time we have a question about treatment, there is someone who can point us toward an expert.  They have helped us cope with, and understand what this syndrome is. It is an honor to be able to raise awareness and any funds we can to give this foundation resources to help others in our situation.”

We will all be cheering Dr. Curalli on as he runs to the finish line in the New York City Marathon on November 1, 2015, and we will continue to cheer as he and his family continue to rise to the challenges of CdLS on a daily basis.
