Sugar and Your Health – What is the Connection?

What is the connection between eating sugar and your health?

A lot of people are unaware that your oral-hygiene and overall health go hand-in-hand. It’s important for us to not only worry about what we eat and drink every day for our weight and long-term health, but also for our teeth.

Sugar is one of the leading causes of weight gain and lousy health. Sugar also has the same negative effect on your teeth. Consuming too much sugar without drinking enough water and brushing and flossing regularly can cause tooth decay.

Don’t let tooth decay ruin your health

Taking care of your oral health is vital for your overall wellness. If the tooth decay is not taken care of it can lead to the decay reaching the nerve of your tooth and starting an irreversible infection. If the infection is not treated by your dentist with a root-canal the infection could eventually lead to your bloodstream and cause other serious health issues.

So with all of that being said, take care of your health!

  • Visit your doctor and dentist regularly
  • Take steps towards eating healthier and drinking more water
  • Don’t forget to brush and floss! ๐Ÿ™‚
