Pacific Dental Conference 2019

Last week our office ventured up to our neighbor to the north. Dr. Curalli took our staff to Vancouver for the Pacific Dental Conference, where he treated us to a luxurious and relaxing few days away from the office.  The Smile Ballard team got to explore the beautiful city and listen to some exciting lectures on new ways to take care of our patients and better understand overall health.

The day we drove to the convention the snow had struck the PNW again (hopefully for the last time this year). We made it safely to Vancouver and immediately walked to the first lecture. The Pacific Dental Conference sits on the edge of Vancouver Harbour with a picturesque backdrop of snow covered mountains and a view of the historical Stanley Park. Inside the conference, we listened to top speakers who provided us with information on communicating better, nutrition and its relation to oral health, gum health and much more. Doctors, speakers and top industry leaders spoke about the new innovative ways we can help treat patients and have a fun time while doing it.  The very large exhibit had the leading vendors like Sonicare, Colgate, and Oral-B. The exhibit was filled with new high-tech dental gadgets that we were able to try out, and even had a live procedure happening on stage.  When we weren’t learning we had a great time enjoying each others company and trying new delicious restaurants.

Needless to say, our team had the best time in Vancouver! We work together all week striving to provide the best care for our patients, but with our busy lives it makes spending time together outside of the office is very limited. We are so happy that we were able to learn together and look forward to using the knowledge we gained to help take even better care of our wonderful patients.
