Safety at Smile Ballard during a pandemic

 

Whether its your job employment, wearing a mask everywhere you go or hoping that you have enough hand sanitizer to make it through the week, 2020 has definitely changed our lives in all sorts of ways.  Even coming to the dentist is a bit different now, being greeted by our front office staff in masks, getting your temperature taken upon arrival and seeing your hygienist in a n95 mask and face shield. Times are definitely different now.  At our office we have always had safety as our number one priority, and when COVID-19 came into our lives we knew that we needed to keep our patients and our staff safe.  Here are some of the new steps we are taking in protecting your safety and ours…

• Each staff member takes their temperature upon arrival and wears an N95 mask (or equivalent all day)
• Each patient is required to wear a mask upon entry
• We have removed all waiting room furniture with chairs that can be sprayed/wiped down and are properly distanced from the other
• We take patients temperatures upon arrival and have a COVID-19 screening questionnaire
• Each operatory is equipped with medical grade air filtration systems
• Every patient is required to rinse with a hydrogen peroxide rinse to eliminate any viral aerosols they may unknowingly have
• Each evening we deep clean our office with our fogging machine. Our fogger eliminates any virus that might have stayed in the air or remains on any object that is unable to get wiped down/or sanitized
